The Rivira’s Beach Wedding

  • Posted on March 15, 2013 at 12:44 pm

Dennis and Marley’s wedding took place at North Clearwater Beach at Beach Access #13.  The ceremony included a bridal party of 6 plus the couples 2 children.  Marley had made these wonderful rose pins with feathers to give out to all her guests.  They were  a sweet sentimental detail of the love for her grandparents who has passed away.  This made a lasting memory for all her guests and family as it did myself who also was given one.  There is a close up that I took of mine in the photos above.  Marley did a wonderful  job.  Creating meaningful and lasting keepsakes gifts make for guests not to leave theirs behind.  They instead want to treasure it.

We were glad to have been a part of the Dennis and Marley’s special day and we wish them a world of happiness and an eternity of love.

Siesta Key Wedding

A love story of Ryan and Bekah, written by the bride, who were married at suset at Siesta Key Beach on December 2, 2012. To read the full story please visit http://bekahsbits.blogspot.com/p/our-love-story.html

“Ryan and I have a love story that surprised us both…but we love it! We grew up in the same town, went to the same school, and yet never really knew each other until about four years ago when I started attending the church he’d gone to his whole life. We were just friends, and I had absolutely no idea he would show up on my porch late last sumer to tell me he’d begun to have feelings for me!

We went on a date…then another…and another, and we knew almost immediately that we wanted our relationship to be the forever kind. I’m a radio producer, and every Thursday, I share the airwaves with my show’s host. On Thursday, October 4th, 2012, she and I were chatting away live on the air about our favorite moments of life… when the studio door opened and Ryan walked in, got on one knee and proposed in front of all my co-workers and our entire listening audience.

Neither of us wanted to wait to get married, and we both love the beauty of the beach, so we decided to skip what everyone expected of us and get married two months later on the beach. Since we live in Indiana, we had to travel to a beach. Ryan had been to Siesta Key once and knew it was beautiful, so we picked it as our location and we were married at sunset on Sunday, December 2, 2012.

We wanted to incorporate many details in the wedding that were unique to us…and these are just a few. Rather than having a unity candle, we had stones engraved with our wedding date and Scripture verses that we felt represented what we desired to bring to our marriage. We placed those in a bowl of sand…symbolic of building the foundation of an altar to God…which we’ll add to throughout our marriage as we see Him work in our lives. We also had 3 candles to represent the Trinity and had our minister light them at the start of the ceremony as he invited God to be part of our ceremony…

Rather than carrying flowers, my bridesmaids and I carried lanterns with stones (representative of our family altar theme) and shells. We were pleasantly surprised that almost everyone from both our immediate families as well as several of our friends wanted to make the trek to Florida for the wedding, and in all, we had just over 30 people as part of our ceremony!

Our day was beautiful – just over 80 degrees with the tiniest breeze and a gorgeous sunset. We couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop to our wedding!

We were so excited to exchange rings and seal our vows with a kiss. And then we were Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Shaffer!”
