Shell Place Card Holders

This is a wonderful idea for a beach/ocean side wedding.

Try scalloped shells to hold your seating cards.  They can be  bought in pairs and then secured in a base made out of polymer clay. Which is clay that hardens when it is baked.   See “A beachy idea” picture below.

You need:

Polymer clay found in local craft stores – white is best.

Buy scalloped shells that come attached in pairs.

Oval or round cookie cutter

Your card stock for making place cards

1. Roll out polymer clay with rolling pin about 1/4 ” thick

2. Cut out shape oval or round with cutter for base

3. Place the card stock you will use in between the shells & then push the shells down in the clay & remove the card.   Continue with making the rest and place on a cookie sheet for baking.

4. Follow instructions on polymer clay box.  Also you may want to make a few extras just in case you have some last minute gusets saying they are coming after all.

The table number will be hidden in the shell.
